The professional will focus on Site Civil/Land Development projects supporting the Buildings, Telecommunications, and Mission Critical practices nationally. Project types and clients will vary with opportunities to be involved in projects across the United States. The Senior Site Civil Engineer will be expected to take on a leadership role within the team to provide engineering and design services to clients and will coordinate with engineers, project managers, clients and other disciplines to deliver on schedule and on budget projects, train and mentor junior staff as well as manage workload for the team, and lead engineering and production team through the planning and design of civil engineering projects.\n\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nPrepare and oversee engineering analysis, design, and calculations for all aspects of site civil work including but not limited to site access, grading, drainage, utility networks, and erosion control.\n\nCoordinate with clients, government agencies, and other project design leaders across multiple time zones.\n\nGenerate and oversee detailed reports to demonstrate compliance with local design guidelines.\n\nLead project teams from initial planning until completion, while looking to obtain future business and performing own project duties\n\nEngage, mentor, and motivate junior staff through counsel, goal setting guidance, knowledge transfer and goal setting\n\nPlan, schedule and coordinate the preparation of documents or activities for multiple simultaneous projects across multiple states\n\nProvide quality oversight and reviews of design and calculations performed by staff.\n\nServe as the lead on significant or complex projects\n\nAssist in developing processes and provide input on achieving company and office operational excellence while growing a practice\n\nReview project changes, pending or anticipated alterations to the contract, additional work requests, and all other factors, which may significantly affect staffing requirements or budget\n\nTravel as needed to support projects and business development efforts.\n\nProvide technical assistance in the resolution of design problems including field investigation or inspections, detailed design work, detailed review of design computations done by others and general coordination of design aspects\n\nAct as a technical specialist for the organization in the application of advanced concepts, principles, and methods in an assigned area\n\nRepresent the organization in the community and appropriate professional societies.\n\nThe Skills and Knowledge You Bring\nBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.\n\nMinimum of eight (8) years experience with land development projects (retail, industrial, data centers, multifamily, residential subdivisions, etc. ).\n\nLicensed Professional Engineer in the state of residence.\n\nMust have demonstrated technical experience with a wide range of civil projects and experience serving clients.\n\nA proven track record of innovation, leadership, and creativity.\n\nExperience in leading projects through entitlement processes including rezoning and planned unit developments.\n\nAbility to quickly understand new municipal codes and regulations for projects in new jurisdictions.\n\nThorough understanding of business and financial principles in a consulting business.\n\nMust possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nAbility to lead and develop an engineering and project management team.\n\nExperience with AutoCAD Civil 3D design software.\n\nProficiency with SWMM, ICPR, HEC, or similar modeling softwares.\n\nProficient technical and computer skills, to include successfully conducting virtual meetings with staff and/or clients.\n\nThe salary range for this role is $110,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location.
