The lifeguard will be responsible for monitoring activities in the water and on the pool deck for the safety of members and families. Additionally, the lifeguard will enforce facility policies, provide emergency care as needed, and maintain a clean and organized environment.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n•\nSupervise and ensure the safety of individuals in and around the pool/waterfront area. Enforce all rules and regulations to prevent accidents.\n\n•\nRespond quickly and effectively to all emergency situations. Provide first aid and CPR as necessary. Be prepared to respond to emergencies in a calm and professional manner.\n\n•\nMaintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area and surrounding facilities.\n\n•\nAssist with opening and closing duties as assigned.\n\n•\nSwim lessons will have a high level of supervision and focus on safety.\n\n•\nBe familiar with all information and answer questions about programs, schedules, policies or direct people to Aquatic Management.\n\nYMCA COMPETENCIES\n\nMission and Community Oriented – Accepts and demonstrates YMCA values.
