We shoot in log and care about natural, well-balanced skin tones\nBuild engaging visual sequences using cutaways, inserts, screen captures, picture-in-picture, kinetic type, and other creative devices\nMaintain strong pacing and visual movement, knowing when to cut quickly and when to let a shot breathe\nCreate captions and type treatments that feel intentional and belong to the piece, rather than relying on default presets\nDevelop sound design and music choices that add to the story, rather than simply sitting underneath the voice\nWork closely with our CEO and creative team on direction, feedback, and quick iterations\nWho we're looking for\nYou think like a filmmaker, not just an editor.\nYou have a point of view about why a shot belongs in a story, how it should feel, and what it should make the viewer experience.\nA portfolio or reel that demonstrates\nnarrative, documentary, brand, or story-led editing\nStrong colour-grading skills in\nDaVinci Resolve\n, or Premiere with a Resolve workflow\nThe ability to find and build B-roll sequences from unsorted footage and source material\nA strong instinct for sound design and an understanding of how much it can shape an edit\nMotion design or animation skills, with the judgement to use them when they genuinely add to the story\nAbility to work quickly, communicate clearly over Slack, and overlap with\nUS Pacific or European working hours\nStrong plus:\nYou can operate a camera and shoot as well as edit. Experience creating founder, creator, SaaS, or technology brand content is especially valuable.\nOur process\nShare your reel or portfolio\n, along with one line about the piece you're most proud of and why.\nHave a short conversation with our team\nabout your experience and creative approach.\nComplete a test project.\nWe'll share A-roll from one of our shoots, an unsorted B-roll folder from another, and some initial direction.
