If you thrive in a dynamic, growth-minded environment where your contribution directly matters and you’ll work alongside skilled professionals focused on achieving business-driven legal solutions, Mayer is where you can make an impact.\n\nResponsibilities\nRepresent clients involved in various transportation related incidents, including auto accidents, tractor/trailer collisions, bus accidents, crane mishaps, dump truck incidents, fatalities, and motor vehicle accidents (MVA)\n\nProvide comprehensive legal counsel and defense strategies to individuals, businesses, and insurance companies operating within the transportation/trucking industry\n\nConduct thorough investigations into accidents, analyze evidence, asses liability, and develop defense strategies tailored to each case's unique circumstances\n\nRepresent clients in negotiations, mediation, and court proceedings\n\nConduct legal research and provide legal analysis on various issues related to transportation and personal injury law\n\nDraft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests\n\nPrepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials\n\nCommunicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel\n\nParticipate in case strategy discussions and negotiations\n\nManage case files and maintain accurate and organized records\n\nAttend continuing legal education courses to stay current on legal developments\n\nExperience\nJuris Doctor degree from an accredited law school\n\nAdmission to the State Bar of Texas\n\nThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate litigation/insurance defense\n\nStrong research and writing skills\n\nExcellent oral communication and negotiation skills\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\n\nStrong organizational and time management skills\n\nWillingness to travel when necessary\n\nTechnology\nMayer LLP has implemented the following technology platforms:\n\nWestlaw\n\nHarvey AI\n\nCoyote\n\nPointOne\n\niManage\n\nBenefits\nCompetitive quarterly bonus plan based on monthly billables - ability to earn an additional $52k annually\n\nFull suite of health/dental/vision benefits that go into effect the 1st of the month after an employee starts with the firm\n\n10 company holidays + 4 early release days\n\nHybrid schedule (3 days/week in office, 2 days/week at home)\n\n401k + firm match based on previous year revenue.
