This role supports patients seeking preventive services, including PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) and DoxyPEP, as well as individuals living with HIV.\n\nThe ideal candidate is committed to providing inclusive, stigma-free, patient-centered care and improving access for diverse populations, including the LGBTQ2IA+ community. Through a combination of live virtual consultations and asynchronous care, you will help patients make informed decisions, navigate treatment options, and maintain continuity of care.\n\n**Key Responsibilities**\n\n*Live Virtual Consultations*\n\n* Provide high-quality, inclusive care through scheduled consultations on a virtual care platform.\n    \n* Conduct comprehensive initial assessments, including medical histories, risk assessments, and psychosocial evaluations.\n    \n* Educate patients on the prevention of sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections, with an emphasis on HIV prevention, risk reduction, and behavioral counseling.\n    \n* Discuss treatment options and support patients in overcoming barriers to care and making informed decisions about their health.\n    \n\n*Asynchronous Patient Care*\n\n* Order laboratory testing and diagnostic studies, interpret results, prescribe medications, and provide clinical follow-up.\n    \n* Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record.\n    \n* Use virtual care tools to support patient communication, prescribing, and ongoing care coordination.\n    \n* Collaborate with Registered Nurses and support team members to deliver coordinated care throughout the patient experience.\n    \n\n**Required Qualifications**\n\n* Master’s degree in Nursing and completion of a primary care Nurse Practitioner program.\n    \n* Active Nurse Practitioner licenses in **at least 10 states**, including **at least one of the following: Texas, Florida, or California**.\n    \n* At least 2 years of primary care experience.\n    \n* At least 1 year of eperience delivering virtual healthcare.\n    \n* Experience in HIV prevention and/or providing care to the LGBTQ2IA+ community.\n    \n* Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a commitment to empathetic, culturally responsive care.\n    \n* Consistent availability for asynchronous responsibilities, including lab reviews, prescribing, and follow-up, along with scheduled live consultations.\n    \n\n**Preferred Qualifications**\n\n* Experience providing care to gender-diverse and sexually diverse populations.\n    \n* Experience treating and managing patients living with HIV.\n    \n* Experience in a private-sector, startup, or technology-driven healthcare setting.\n    \n* Experience practicing independently or autonomously.\n    \n* Spanish fluency.\n    \n\n**Schedule & Availability**\n\nThis opportunity requires a commitment of **15–25 hours per week**, including:\n\n* Up to **15 hours of scheduled live patient consultations**.\n    \n* Approximately **5–10 hours of asynchronous care tasks**.\n    \n* **At least 10 live consultation hours between Friday and Sunday** to support consistent patient coverage.\n    \n\nAsynchronous tasks offer scheduling flexibility while requiring consistent availability to support timely patient care.
