This role owns projects and service activities from startup through commissioning and ongoing support, working closely with customers, subcontractors, and internal project teams to deliver reliable system performance.\nWhy This Role\nStarting salary: $110,000+\nAnnual bonus opportunity of up to 10% based on individual and company performance\nAdditional earning opportunity through Mantis' BMS Bonus Program\nOngoing technical and leadership development opportunities\nRelocation assistance available for qualified candidates\n\nResponsibilities\nInstall, program, commission, and troubleshoot BMS and controls systems\n\nService existing building control systems\n\nPerform startup and commissioning of complete building automation systems\n\nInstall building control components including controllers, panels, conduit, sensors, and related hardware\n\nBuild and assemble low-voltage control panels\n\nPerform point-to-point verification and checkout activities\n\nPerform software and hardware calibration required for proper system operation\n\nExecute low-voltage cable installation and termination activities as needed\n\nSupport project commissioning activities, including participation in daily meetings and documentation of results\n\nWork closely with installation subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on schedule and in compliance with contract requirements, applicable codes, and industry standards\n\nPartner with project teams and customers to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions\n\nOwn assigned work from initiation through completion while proactively communicating progress, risks, and issues\n\nOutcomes\nProjects commissioned and delivered in accordance with contract requirements, code requirements, and customer expectations\n\nBuilding control systems installed, calibrated, and operating as designed\n\nCommissioning activities completed with accurate documentation and issue resolution\n\nStrong customer satisfaction through responsive troubleshooting and service support\n\nSafe execution of work in active construction and mission-critical environments\n\nDemonstrates ownership, accountability, and effective communication throughout project delivery\n\nQualifications\nExperience with Building Management Systems (BMS) in mission-critical or data center environments; Tridium Niagara experience REQUIRED\n\nExperience commissioning, programming, and troubleshooting networked control systems, including wire sheet programming and control logic\n\nWorking knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems commonly found in data center environment\n\nAbility to read and interpret:\n\nNetwork topologies\n\nElectrical one-line diagrams\n\nDevice wiring drawings\n\nControl drawings\n\nStrong understanding of open protocols such as:\n\nBACnet IP\n\nBACnet MSTP\n\nModbus TCP\n\nModbus RTU\n\nKnowledge of low-voltage wiring and terminations including:\n\nRS-232\n\nRS-485\n\nCAT5/CAT6\n\nUnderstanding of electrical code requirements and controls applications involving 120V, 240V, and 480V systems\n\nFamiliarity with CAD software and construction drawings\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio\n\nWorking Conditions / Physical Requirements\nWork Environment\n\nField-based role supporting data centers, commercial facilities, and active construction environments\n\nRegular interaction with customers, subcontractors, and project teams\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\nAbility to work in hard-hat construction environments\n\nAbility to climb stairs and ladders\n\nAbility to maneuver around piping, ductwork, and mechanical equipment\n\nAbility to work safely near exposed line-voltage and low-voltage systems\n\nAbility to perform field commissioning and troubleshooting activities for extended periods\n\nTravel Requirements\n\nTravel required based on project and customer needs\n\nApproximately 40-50% travel throughout the year\n\nSite Access Requirements\n\nAbility to obtain and maintain customer-required site access credentials, security authorizations, and facility access approvals as required for assigned projects\n\nAbility to travel to customer and project sites as required; when driving is an essential function of the role, candidates must be able to meet company driving requirements, including maintaining a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record\n\nNote: Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job.
