The Sales Associate will play a critical role in building a positive work culture, driving employee involvement, and supporting change management efforts within the retail organization.  \nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ OUTCOMES  \n•  \nProcesses freight  \n•  \nAssisting with price changes/markdowns  \n•  \nBalances register according to company policy  \n•  \nBags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction  \n•  \nHandles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy  \n•  \nObtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks  \n•  \nHandles maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned  \n•  \nProvides proper customer service such as, but not limited to, greeting customer, abides by fitting room policies, rings customer in a timely fashion, thanks customer for shopping at store and invites them to return  \n•  \nFollows all safety procedures  \n•  \nMust keep a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag  \n•  \nAssists management in merchandising sales floor according to stock level.  \n•  \nExplains our exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.  \n•  \nResponsible for assisting Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty and following all current operational policies.  \n•  \nPerforms other duties as may be assigned.  \nREQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES  \n•  \nExcellent communication and organizational skills.  \n•  \nAbility to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.  \n•  \nAbility to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.  \nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE  \n•  \nHigh school diploma or equivalent  \nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS  \nSales Associates must work their scheduled hours per week and perform the essential physical functions listed below with or without accommodation.  \n•  \nSquat/Kneel/Stoop (Frequent to continuous)  \n•  \nStand/Bend/Walk (Frequent to continuous)  \n•  \nTwist (Occasional to Frequent)  \n•  \nReach above shoulder (Occasional to Frequent)  \n•  \nLift/Carry (Occasional to Frequent)  \n•  \nPush/Pull (Occasional to Frequent)  \n•  \nUse of hands (manual dexterity, grasping (Frequent to Continuous)  \nGENERAL INFORMATION  \nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals assigned to this position.
