In this role, you will oversee production, quality, and safety under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent. As a foreman, you will play an essential role in ensuring the successful completion of all work by providing hands-on support and guidance to the team. This includes assisting in training apprentices, journeymen, and other field personnel to ensure all tasks are performed safely and with high quality.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities\nUnderstands how the Carpenter interacts with a Laborer during the tank building process and can direct the work as required.\n\nEstablishes crews, assigns responsibilities and follows through on assigned work to meet the project timeline.\n\nReads and interprets tank drawings and construction information package to ensure work is performed according to specifications.\n\nInventories material upon delivery to ensure components comply with the contract drawings prior to signature.\n\nInvolved in daily closeout meetings with the Superintendent providing an update on the day’s activities and needs for the following day.\n\nFollows quality control (QC) program, understands construction tolerances, and reports any quality defects immediately.\n\nChecks and confirms elevation grades and plumbness on critical tank components.\n\nFollows and upholds safety procedures and understands DN Tanks safety policies.\n\nIdentifies hazards, takes action to correct them, and is responsible for recognizing those who do the same in accordance with the Award of Excellence (AOE) Program.\n\nPromotes clean, safe work practices by watching over other employees while performing work.\n\nProvide coaching and training while motivating the team to produce quality work and ensure all safety standards are met with all individuals on the project.\n\nMaintain all certifications in compliance with DN Tanks Safety & Equipment Programs.\n\nPerforms all jobsite layout utilizing survey equipment under direction of the Superintendent.\n\nSupports the training program by working closely with other traveling tank builders and utilizing all resources available in DN University.\n\nQualifications\nOperate and maintain DN Tanks tools and equipment.\n\nAbility to travel to project sites throughout the United States at the direction of the Field Operations Manager.\n\nAbility to climb and perform tasks at heights on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders, shoring, and scaffolds.\n\nAbility to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.\n\nAbility to complete DN Tanks crane certification.\n\nDN is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
