Headcount Labs in Grok
Search, count and read open job postings from a Grok chat.
Add it as a custom connector
- Sign in to Grok and open grok.com/connectors.
- Choose New Connector, then Custom.
- Name it Headcount Labs and paste the server URL below.
- Save it, sign in with your Headcount Labs account, and approve access.
- Start a new chat and ask a question about jobs. Grok picks the Headcount Labs tools when they fit.
https://api.headcountlabs.com/mcpIn a Grok Business or Enterprise team, an admin adds the connector in the xAI console first. No Headcount Labs account yet? Create one; the free plan includes 1,000 jobs a month.
Developers using the xAI API can pass the same URL as a remote MCP tool with an API key from your keys page; see xAI's remote MCP tools guide.
Things to ask
- How many data engineer jobs are open in Germany right now?

- Show me registered nurse jobs in Texas that list pay.
- How many Headcount Labs jobs do I have left this month?
What it can do
The same tools as every other MCP client: count jobs, search jobs by title, company, place, work arrangement, pay and posting date, open one job with every posting it was found on, save up to 5,000 jobs to a file, and check your usage. The full list is on MCP tools. It only reads job data: it cannot apply to jobs or contact employers.
Your monthly jobs
Counting jobs, listing filters, checking usage and searching the docs are free. Each job a search or a job lookup returns counts toward your monthly plan, and every answer says how many jobs it used and how many are left. Before one search would use more than your confirmation level (25% of the month by default), the assistant asks you first. See rate limits and job credits.
Other clients
